what a loverly weekend, spent the weekend at cambridge rabbit show, its was great fun, with a great atmosphere, there was a big barbecue, we even met one of our fellow down under aussi rabbit exhibitours (christine toyer from Malvina Lake stud) who also shows rex and mini lops amongst other breeds, i really enjoyed hearing about how things work over there.. loverly to meet you and your hubby... hopefully well see you again... we did really well winning best rex with kenya and best lop with darwin, then she went on to win the knock out fun show on the sunday.. so could not be more proud of them... especially as she done so well only the week before at the east herts show with winning best rex in the 1* and best rex and reserve best in show in the 2* .. shes turned out to be a real little star...

well we had a sad and horrible shock on wednesday evening our beloved import doe narla passed away,
it was a terrible shock, she was fine in the morning and had 4 4 week old kits with her, and when we checked on them later in the day she had gone, we now have 4 poor orphaned kits, they are currently indoors with us and doing ok, they are eating and drinking well so am keeping all fingers crossed for them,
we have 3 beutiful litters of mini lops just popping there heads out of the nests, i just love it when they first start ventureing out for the first time,

What a day!
Well its been one of those days today, went out first thing this morning to check on the buns to find that one of my outside cages had the door and lock smashed in, it was mr fox, i knew they were around but have never had any probs with then before, luckerly the cage was empty as he had gone to his new home only the day before thank god.... Amber he was lucky he went to you when he did or i shudder to think what i would have found,
my sooty fawn doe sadie gave birth to 6 kits today, father is mick the sealpoint, but she doesnt seem herself, im worried shes too quiet for my likeing, am keeping a close eye on her, i hope shes ok..
but on a good note my havana doe is currently looking after her first litter of babies and being a great first time mum.. they are currently about 7 days old now, cant wait till they come out the nest
